The UFC(Ultimate Fighting Championship) 2009 Undisputed demo is now on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game is great and at first I was worry about how the game will feel and work and game developers said this game will be the best MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) game ever made but the is that true? Why yes it is the game play is great and feels great. In the demo you should not do the mistake I did and not go to the Tutorial first or you will lose fast like I did.
The Tutorial is great because it will teach you how to be a good fighter. It will teach you how to strike, takedowns, clinch, and so on. The Tutorial also has a video to show how the move is done and then you get to try it. There’s so many things to learn here and if you just got the game this is a must try before you hit the world-famous Octagon. Another thing I notice is that there was a practice mode but you don’t get to play on the demo but will be available on the full game.
The controls could be tough but that has a MMA fight is this game is “As Real As It Gets” and they did a great job on it. There is lots of stuff to remember with the controls but you do get to remember them fast the controls are not like Fight Night games the controls of UFC game is simple you use the Y and X button to punch and A and B buttons to kick so there not like Fight Night but the controls are still pretty good. Even takedowns are not difficult to do you just need to time it right.
The demo has only two fighters Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua one thing I notice is that every fighter has there different style like in real life. Like chuck is a good striker and wrestler while Rua like to takedown and go for a submission. The full game will have more then 80 fighters I don’t know about you but that a lot of fighters even Tito Ortiz is in the game and he left UFC a long time ago. Here is the roster.

The developers also did a great job to make it feel like I am watching it from T.V. Bruce Buffer and Mike Goldberg are in the game the voice over is great and better then WWE Smackdown vs. Raw games and I say that because in the UFC game when you try to go for a takedown or punch someone the commentary will react to it like in T.V. I was a little disappointed with not entrances I do hope the real game will have entrances. Graphics are not bad they did a great job on how UFC fights are the camera man is there the fighters look like fighters the announcer and even the referee which in the demo is Mario Yamasaki which is a real referee in real life. And the music is great and will sound familiar is you watch UFC.
This game is looking out to be a good game its not perfect but it is already the best MMA game ever made with the great controls and features which will include in the full game like 80 fighters, create a fighter and use in career mode or online. Lots of fighting styles like Judo, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Kickboxing, Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and more. Full game comes out May 19, 2009 for the Xbox 360 and Playstaion 3. If your not a UFC fan but love fighting game’s then go ahead and check it out you never know you might even might fall in love with the world famous Octagon. And make sure you check out there site.
