SUGGESTIONS FOR MODERN WARFARE 2![]() Posted by London on Sep 12, 2009 15:11 (321 days ago) |
Modern Warfare 2 will be released 11-10-09. Personally, I will probably jump off of a building, I’ll be so exited before the release. I was a huge fan of Call of Duty 4, and I’ll probably love Modern Warfare 2 even more. However, Call of Duty 4 had a few small things that I think could be improved in Modern Warfare 2; And maybe this time around we will find out if Infinity Ward really cares about their community, or if they’re just in it for the money. If Infinity Ward does care about their community, we should see some major improvements to the game.
First off, the small things. Juggernaut. Now, Juggernaut is a very small addition to the game. However at times, Juggernaut could be one of the most aggravating things in the game; especially for snipers. You finally get a shot on the turret gunner from across the map, only to find out he has juggernaut, and when you only hurt him with your shot, he goes into hiding. I was disappointed when I found out Call of Duty World at War had Juggernaut. Juggernaut NEEDS to be discontinued with Modern Warfare 2. Here’s another perk, Martyrdom. Now, Martyrdom has already been confirmed to be in Modern Warfare 2 by Robert Bowling on the E3 2009; but it was said to be getting improvements. Well, I can live with martyrdom, if it is greatly improved. Hardcore spawn killing, by your team. People would join your game of Hardcore Search and Destroy, but as soon as the game started, they shot a rocket at the ground killing most or all of the team. Something desperately needs to be done about this.
Okay, next thing on my mind is more Private Match customization. I love to play Private Matches with my friends, playing hours upon hours of our made-up games. Now, those were fun, but they would’ve been twice as much fun if we had a little bit more game customization to work with. We could have made more complex and much more fun games if we could have had a little more customization. Now this next idea is something that I came up with myself. The universal class. This is a class that the host creates specifically for that match. Like, (I’m using Call of Duty 4 for example) say you wanted to play a match and only be able to use MP5, Stopping Power, Extreme Conditioning, and Claymores. All the host would have to do is create the universal class for that match and it would force the players in the game to use that class, instead of telling everyone in the match to change up their custom classes. In my opinion, that would be much easier, and faster, and more of an efficient way to eliminate time in the lobby preparing for a match, and more time enjoying the game itself. Another feature that would save time in Private Matches is a save game setting, option. So that you would be able to save your game settings, name them, and be able to just pick whatever settings you wanted, from your list of saved ones.
Another thing I want to see in Modern Warfare 2, new map packs. Call of Duty 4 had one map pack; and frankly, I didn’t care much for that map pack. I don’t believe that Infinity Ward worked very hard for that map pack, since two of the maps were from the campaign, and one was from Call of Duty 2, I think. Halo 3 has, If I’m not mistaken, I think three Map Packs, plus the Cold Storage map. Call of Duty World at War has had three map packs. I want to see some DLC for Modern Warfare 2! Plus maybe, Infinity Ward could add some extra Achievements, to fuel the climb of our ever-growing Gamerscore, or of course, Trophies for the PS3. Also, Infinity Ward, please make the Maps worth our $10.
Overall, I’m sure Infinity Ward will make a very good game, but maybe if they incorporate some of the suggestions from the community, they could make a great game. Well, either way I can’t wait for Modern Warfare 2.
