Glitching and boosting in Modern Warfare 2 is getting old. I've been killed by the Javelin Glitch too many times to count. I've had players use Tactical Insertions on one side of the map to get the nuke more than once. I've get invites from recent players to do a "Riot Shield Boosting Lobby" nearly every game I play.
Take a look at the Leaderboards for Modern Warfare 2. Chances are that everyone on top of the Leaderboards has been in a boosting lobby since the game began. I'm not saying this for sure, because obviously I can't say that they have for sure, but you really can't tell if people's rank is their actual rank. People are using these exploits too way much. Infinity Ward made it easy to do with the Riot Shields, One Man Army (Perk), and Tactical Insertions. Things like the Javelin Glitch aren't Infinity Wards fault though, and they are actually fixing that soon; which I am glad to hear because it has almost ruined the multiplayer for me.
The way Riot Shield boosting works is someone has a Riot Shield, and the other has a RPD. The guy with the RPD shoots the Riot Shield, and then uses One Man Army to switch to his Riot Shield class, and the other guy switches to his RPD and does the same. You can earn massive points per game by doing this. I'm getting tired of just getting so many messages asking if I want to boost! I'd like Infinity Ward to fix this somehow. Maybe, let the Riot Shield give you less points when shot? Whatever it may be, something has to be done. To view a video of Riot Shield boosting, click here.
The Javelin Glitch has been another major problem with Modern Warfare 2. Infinity Ward is fixing this glitch soon though, which is great news. Microsoft is banning people who use the glitch, so you have been warned. What the glitch does is turn you into a walking Predator Missile. As soon as someone kills you, you instantly blow up killing anyone near you. This is really annoying. To view a video of this glitch, click here.
My last complaint is about the people who join Free-For-All matches and sit in the corner of a map with Tactical Insertions to instantly respawn and let their friend kill them again, until the friend has a 25 Killstreak and launches a Nuke to end the game. You can't always be sure that this is happening, but when one person is 25-0 and another is 0-25, it's hard to believe that they didn't cheat. If you find people cheating like this, please file a Complaint on them, which will help to eliminate cheaters from this game.
Hopefully Infinity Ward will be able to fix these exploits, to make the game better and fairer for everyone. We here at Joystick Radio, do NOT encourage glitching or exploiting games in any way. We do not use these exploits, and we expect you not to either.
