Rainbow Six Vegas was an incredible experience for gamers all around the world, visuals, gameplay, online was all in the package and it delivered.  Now Ubisoft is back  with a sequel which got every gamer wondering how it will stand since this time round it will have other games alike to compare to and how it will deliver from the first game, how much of a change...

First off let me start by saying “erm...not bad...”

Now I got that out of me I can start with the review of Rainbow Six Vegas 2!

The story mode isn’t nothing to brag about but that’s not where Rainbow six Vegas 2 stands just like the first title, it’s the multiplayer and the co-op story/Terrorist hunt which will get you hooked for awhile...in any mode of the game as you progress there is a ACES (Advanced Combat Enhancement and Specialization) points which means as you kill an enemy you get point for the category (Assault /Marksmanship/ Close-Quarters Battle), meaning let’s say you kill an enemy with a far distance shot or a close kill you will get points for that one category and that gets carried over to any other modes that you play and the more ACES points you earn you will unlock new weapons or be rewarded with lots of XP bonuses, 20 is the max you can get for each category.

This time round you be able to customize your own character for the story mode which is a great idea since most of us would love to be a hero right...The character customize goes deeper the first title as now you can make your character to look like you, yes you! That’s if you own yourself the Vision Camera (btw you get an achievement for it). The story co-op mode can be better but not too bad either and yes its only 1 friend can join in (online or split screen) the fun not 3 which is a letdown since more the merrier as the team AI can be stupid at times and only the host can control the team AI not the person that join in with you which makes it silly like for example when your down and your friend is busy somewhere else with enemies, who’s to control the teammates AI! What I don’t understand is why you can have 4 friends join you in the Terrorists Hunt and why not implanted it in the story mode aswell...only Ubisoft will know the answer...

The enemy AI is very good, smart, they will run for cover and shoot instead of standing around not covering up.   They will throw grenades when possible or when you try getting close they will back off to another cover which makes it even harder for you to kill, but there are flaws like sometimes you see an enemy dancing around their spot or when they get stuck at their spot! But no games perfect, games a game and there are little flaws here and there...oh and did I mention you get to sprint! It’s very useful for when you need to sprint for cover which you will need often.  The online multiplayer of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is where the most fun lies just like the first title, it will keep you occupied for some time.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 graphics are no Call of Duty 4 but it’s nothing to laugh about and the gameplay feels somewhat familiar to the first game, but not a disappointment as Rainbow Six Vegas 2 still is fun to play and brings back memories of the first game with fresh enhancements.
