If you’re in the market for a new keyboard then Joystick Radio (JsR) would like introduce you to one of the world’s most advanced keyboards available made possible by Logitech. This keyboard is so great that you might not even be in the market, but find yourself getting your own after hearing all of its’ great features. When looking for a keyboard one looks at performance, compatibility, dependability, design, and of course, pricing. Keeping all these things in mind, sometimes it proves a difficult task to get all these attributes in the same product and be completely satisfied with your purchase in the end. So if you’re looking for a keyboard, then look no further because Logitech kept all these things in mind with its making of the new diNovo Edge keyboard. Logitech’s’ name not only represents great performance but also great designs in all of its’ electronics and computer peripherals.

After reviewing the diNovo Edge we were really impressed with its many great features and would like to share this awesome products information with any potential keyboard buyer to hopefully help ease your next pre and post purchase experience. The diNovo keyboard layout is much like any other as far as the letter, number, and function key arrangements but the diNovo just has several special added touches that make it stand out and above the rest.

We all know that with any keyboard use that besides the appearance the keystroke is one of the first things we experience. Are you looking for a keyboard that offers keystrokes that are slow, stiff , spongy, noisy, or are you looking for a Perfect stroke key system which is a precision micro-scissors mechanism that distributes force evenly across the key surfaces eliminating slippage and fatigue, and making every stroke natural and fluid and much quieter than most to touch. If so then the diNovo Edge can deliver that Perfect stroke mechanism. The keyboard itself showcases a very sleek laser-cut styling from a single piece of Plexiglas that’s ultra-slim at less than 3/4 inch thick and very light weighing in at only 2 lbs. all set within a brushed aluminum frame. Included within this frame and design is a brushed aluminum wrist rest altogether making a bold statement in any office or home setting?

The diNovo Edge also offers to the right of the keyboard a new Revolutionary “Touch Disc” like feature which unifies horizontal and vertical on screen scrolling, selection, and cursor control. Scroll effortlessly with hyper-speed through spreadsheets, long documents or lists with thousands of rows or entries by a simple light touch of a finger to the disc. The circumference of the disc is also highlighted and encircled with a light-colored ring that glows a bright orange as your fingertip moves around the disc. To make the viewing of lengthy material at high speeds even easier, the Touch Disc is even further highlighted and marked at 12 o’clock for horizontal scrolling and 3 o’clock for vertical scrolling while moving in either direction. This neat backlighting of the Touch Disc occurs while the Touch Disc is in use but goes out automatically after about 3 seconds when the fingertip is removed or until the Touch Disc is touched again. Located below the Touch Disc is the mouse left and right click buttons and located directly above the Touch Disc is also a precise light touch-sensitive volume control. The volume is controlled with the light touch of your finger to the designated vertical area which contains no moving parts because the sensors are located just below the Plexiglas surface. This area when in use also has small LEDs located to the left of the volume bar that illuminate to follow your fingers touch in an up or down motion to reach the desired volume which also displays on your computer screen as well simultaneously.
To the left side of the keyboard are located five stealth hot-keys (buttons)and to the right side two are located for a total of seven, all of which lay flush with the smooth surrounding surface adding to its sleek appearance. These seven keys are clearly marked with a picture that represents their function which is: hibernate, zoom in, zoom out, zoom to full screen or 100% back to office, and mouse left click, all which are located to the left of the keyboard and Launch Media Center Edition and mute which are to the right of the keyboard. These buttons when depressed also have by their side an orange-glowing light in the shape of same design on the button of choice which stays illuminated for about 3 seconds after the button has been depressed. This orange-glowing light is a great addition to possibly alarm you if one of these buttons had been accidently or wrongly depressed during use but remember this lighted feature only last for about 3 seconds. The diNovo, just like other keyboards also has the twelve functions keys F1-F12 located just above the numeric keys each having a specific function. Each of these keys also have a specific alternate function ranging from launching VoIP, internet to email, presets and specifics, and media transport, along with each function being represented by a picture that illuminates when the Fn key is depressed along with being the only key highlighted in red. When the Fn key is not depressed or held down then the illuminated represented picture is invisible.
